Welcome Everyone!

The season is uponst me! My odd little hobby of raising Monarch Butterlies has now gone into high gear and upon persistent urging...I have finally begun to put down all of the excitement that will take place over the next 6 weeks or so.
Thank-you very much for reading this blog and perhaps you will find yourself wanting to help a critter on this planet that needs help.

Surprise - 10 Monarch Eggs from my Milkweed Plants

Surrpise for me today.   I checked my Milkweed plants per usual and found Monarch Eggs.....and found 10 eggs on 2 plants!

This was a total surprise and I am more than pleased.    I think that this means that somehow the genetics of where my 2 Monarchs came from have been passed so that the current generation came to lay eggs here and AND also means that Monarchs in general are bulls-eyeing my garden.

This is a good day.
If you look closely at the leaves, you will be able to find the  pearl coloured, oval eggs on them.   To think, a beautiful Monarch comes from such humble beginnings.
